We do not offer refunds on reservation deposits as the value is maintained unless you don’t show for your appointment. If you do not cancel at least 48 hours(GROUPS 1 persons to 4 persons and GROUPS 5 or more 7 days)  before reservation date, your deposit is used to pay your cancellation fee.  We DO NOT offer refunds on discount vouchers paid to other companies.

This is the hardest for everyone.  Many factors can delay or cancel your appointment, this can happen after arriving at the airport.  If weather is a factor your deposit is transferable to another appointment date and time.   We do not offer refunds on reservation deposits as the value is maintained.  We DO NOT offer refunds on discount vouchers paid to other companies; you must use the voucher prior to the expiration date for the full discounted value.

Is the deposit part of the price?

Yes. The deposit will come off the price of the jump. So you will only have to pay the balance remaining on the day of your jump at the airport.

I arrived and the weather is good, why did you cancel?

Weather is the hardest part of our job. If conditions are marginal such as cloud level or wind we may choose to cancel the day skydiving. We alert everyone the moment the decision is made. If we canceled the day due to weather and the weather changes becoming better later by chance it is not always a green light to go; for safety reasons the safety and training decision is final for the day. You can always call to discuss weather.

What should I bring with me? What should I wear?

You will need to show a valid photo ID before your skydive. For foot attire: tennis shoes are ideal – no sandals, heels, boots with hooks, or speed laces. Your shoes must be closed toe, and have a snug fit that does not allow them to be kicked off. Dressing for the occasion: We recommend you wear jeans.  Dress for the weather. If it is cold, bring a sweater, if it is really cold bring a couple of sweaters. We will provide you with gloves and goggles. Basically, you want to dress as if your planning on sliding into home base (baseball).

After I reserve, what next?

You should receive a request confirmation. After we review your request it will be confirmed and you will receive a confirmation email complete with special reservation code. You can use this code to check-in on our terminals when you arrive. If you have not received your reservation code (make sure to check your spam folder) please call 719-285-4050 option 0 or email reservations@coloradomountainskydive.com. You do not need to arrive early. If you arrive early we can process your registration but flight availability may vary until close to your time. During off season hours staff may be at other parts of the airport at not at the tandem terminal building.

After I arrive, what next?

After you arrive you will watch a short video, sign a waiver, and then proceed to training. We explain emergencies, aircraft, exit, free fall, and the parachute ride. The experience is fantastic with great views of the Royal Gorge Region from above, the Sangre De Cristo mountain range and Pikes Peak.

What should I wear?

Dress for the weather, no big jackets. If its cold (winter) just wear a few extra long sleeve shirts. We recommend pants, closed toe shoes. We provide gloves, goggles, glasses-goggles.

What happens if the parachute doesn’t open?

If the main parachute fails to deploy, the reserve parachute will deploy, which is inspected and repacked every 180 days by an FAA certified parachute rigger.

Can I bring a camera on the jump?

No; United States Parachute Association Basic Safety Regulations recommends only trained jumpers use these to avoid critical distractions. Our instructors take video and pictures throughout your experience for you.

What does freefall feel like?

Freefall is not the “roller coaster drop” feeling most people expect it would be. It is a comfortable sensation of floating and support, with a slight pressure of air against your body. Freefall is the closest thing to human flight, especially when falling “relative” with other skydivers. In relation to other skydivers in the air, a jumper can move forward, backwards, up, down and all around in the sky. He or she can dive vertically over 200 mph or achieve horizontal movement over the ground up to 60 mph.

Do I have to go “Tandem” for my first jump?

No.  You can skydive on your own with your own parachute for the first time.  Tandem just makes the experience a little easier and quicker because you have a parachutist-in-command present.

What happens if I don’t show for my appointment or cancel my appointment?

Your appointment time is held by your reservation deposit and is non refundable. If you have a tour voucher it is possible your voucher may become void. If you change the appointment date or time: Groups 1-4 must call to make changes 48 hours before your appointment; Groups 5 or more must change your appointment time 7 days before your reservation. If you booked through travel agent your voucher will be subject to the same fee. Your $50 dollar reservation deposit is transferable to another date and time if the weather is bad.

If the weather is bad can I get a refund on my prepaid voucher ticket?

Once you reserve a seat you can not get a refund on your voucher. We require a non refundable $50 dollar deposit per person. When you book you are agreeing to use the voucher as your security deposit. We allow for immediate reschedule. It is important to use the voucher before the expiration date to get the full value of the ticket.

My voucher/coupon says Mon-Thursday; What should I do in the Winter when you operate Saturday-Sunday?

We accept Mon-Thursday vouchers and coupons on Saturday and Sunday in the winter  only from Oct – Feb.

Can we all jump together?

We can not guarantee everyone in your group will jump together. We will do our best to pair people per their request but there are several scenarios which can cause participants to get ticketed on different flights.
